Dental Implants

Dental Implants are made of titanium material and are surgically placed inside the bone. They are meant to aid in the restoration of missing teeth by serving as anchors to the final restoration material - either crown, bridge or even dentures.

Though implants are gaining popularity and acceptance, not everybody is a good candidate for it. You’re an ideal candidate for a dental implant if:

1. You’re in good general and oral health with no smoking habits.

2. You have adequate bone in your jaw to support the implant.

3. You have healthy gum tissues that are free of periodontal disease.

The success of dental implants depend on a number of factors- overall health, good home care, integration of implant to the bone, routine dental check-up, etc.

root canal

Root Canal Treatment/ Apicoectomy

If you have a tooth that is severely decayed, an advanced infection may be raging within its natural structure. Root canal therapy may be able to cleanse the tooth and preserve it, helping your smile remain complete for many more years to come.

In some cases of failed root canal therapy, removal of the root apex is done to preserve the tooth. This procedure is called apicoectomy.

crown lengthening

Crown Lengthening/ Gingivectomy (Gum Reshaping/ Trimming)

This involves surgical removal of gum tissue to treat existing gum problems (e.g. deep periodontal pockets). This can also be done for cosmetic reasons to improve a patient's smile.

Crown Lengthening involves reshaping of the gum and bone to expose more of the tooth structure. This is usually done when the tooth is badly decayed and needs more sound tooth structure so a crown can be used to restore it.

lip_repositioning

Lip Repositioning

Lip repositioning is a surgical procedure that restricts and changes the position of the upper lip to reduce the amount of exposed gum tissue. This treatment may be done in certain cases of excessive gum show when smiling.
