COMMON QUESTIONS

Answers to what readers ask most

How often should I really visit the dentist?
Every six months is the standard recommendation, but it depends on your oral health. Patients with gum disease or a history of cavities may need to come every three to four months. Patients with excellent oral health may stretch to once a year. We will tell you what is right for your mouth — not what fills our schedule.
Does teeth whitening damage enamel?
Professional whitening, when done correctly, does not damage enamel. Over-the-counter kits and DIY hacks are a different story — they often use abrasive or unbalanced formulas that can cause sensitivity and uneven results. At our clinic in Fairview, Quezon City, we use high-quality, pH-balanced materials applied by a dentist who monitors every step.
I am scared of the dentist. What can I do?
You are not alone — many of our patients feel the same way when they first visit. We recommend starting with a simple consultation, no treatment required. Meet the team, see the clinic, and ask every question you have. Our approach is gentle care: we explain everything before we do it, and we work at your pace. There is no judgment here, only support.
Are dental implants worth the cost?
Dental implants are an investment, but they are the closest thing to a natural tooth in terms of function and longevity. Unlike dentures or bridges, an implant replaces the root as well as the crown, preserving jawbone health and preventing adjacent teeth from shifting. While the upfront cost is higher, many patients find that implants save money over a lifetime by avoiding repeat repairs.
